Brandon Lapides is currently winemaker at Armida Winery
in Healdsburg. At Armida he is knocking down some 90+ scores for Zinfandel and other wines. He previously held the position of assistant winemaker at Dutton Goldfield Winery
in Sebastopol, California, which is well known for their Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Prior to Dutton Goldfield, he was assistant winemaker
at Peachy Canyon Winery
in Paso Robles, one of the top Zinfandel producers in California.
He spent a harvest supervising a shift at Montana Vineyards in
Marlborough (Brancott Wines is the US brand name), the largest winery in New Zealand.
While working towards his BS in Fermentation Science at the University of California Davis
he held internships at RH Phillips
and Testarossa. And while not directly relevant to his winemaking (although you could ask him how many cases of beer for the team it takes to make a barrel of wine), he also
won a gold medal from the California State Fair for his home-brewed Brown Ale.
Brandon and his wife, Kim, have two aspiring winemakers in their daughter Elliana and new son Eden.
